launches in Milton Keynes

Global recruitment consultancy Robert Walters Group announced the launch of Walters People in Milton Keynes today.

With a European presence lasting 15 years, the expansion into Milton Keynes marks the growth of Walters People into a national brand after launching just 6 months ago in London. The brand now has a presence in London, Milton Keynes, North West and the West Midlands.

Walters People Milton Keynes will initially focus on contract and permanent recruitment in accounting and finance, HR and business support fields.

The launch comes off the back of what has been a positive half year for the contract and interim job market, last year contract and interim job vacancies grew by 31% in Milton Keynes – ahead of the capital London (19%) and Manchester (29%). Notable growth areas in the regions were for interim roles in HR (+40%), marketing (14%), and secretarial and business support (+7%).

In fact, a recent survey by Walters People found that over a third of professionals in Milton Keynes (37%) would be open to switching to a contract, interim or temporary position – citing more flexibility (27%), higher hourly pay (23%), and exposure to new skills (21%) as the main drivers.
