Walters People are working with an exciting business in Birmingham to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager. Within this role you will be assisting the Financial Controller in the short / medium term development of the operational aspects of the department gained through support of any transactional duties that may be required.
Role: Assistant Finance Manager
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £37,000 – £40,000
Main duties and key responsibilities as the Assistant Finance Manager:
- Assisting with the production of management accounts
- Monthly reporting
- Weekly reporting
- Cashflow Assistance
- Credit control assistance as a contact point, sending statements, dealing with queries
- Check FX rates
- Accounts receivable tasks
- Accounts payable tasks
- VAT returns
- Process Development
- Team Support
- Ad Hoc transactional finance
Personal Requirements for the role as Assistant Finance Manager:
- Good communication skills by phone, email, and face to face
- Good IT skills
- Completed AAT or early level CIMA/ACCA useful
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
- Attention to detail
- Ad Hoc transactional finance work
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, Office, and experience of would be helpful.
