Are you a part-qualified or finalist (ACCA / CIMA) accountant? With prior month-end reporting experience? Are you someone who enjoys business partnering with non-finance and seeking a business-facing varied accounting position? As a result of an internal promotion, we are working exclusively with a Global events and entertainment business who are looking to recruit an ambitious Management Accountant to join their impressive finance function. This is a full time, permanent role based in West London (hybrid working).
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this exciting position of Management Accountant will take ownership and responsibility for several key events and be the key finance contact for those. This includes business partnering with Event Directors to support on event finances, preparing the monthly management packs in addition to producing detailed business planning and cash flow planning.
Further responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the month-end P&L and Balance Sheet reflect the reality of the current view
- Provide commentary to any variance plan
- Scenario analysis
- Update and reconcile revenue planning and ops budgets
- Cash flow requests
- Prepare and produce weekly sales reports
- Issue quarterly commission statements
- Budgeting and forecasting
Ideal candidates will enjoy music events, festivals and visiting entertainment venues. You will be actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) with prior month-end / management accounting background. SAP experience (desirable) along with strong MS Excel skills.
You will have a pro-active and adaptive approach to work, as well as a willingness and interest in understanding the nature of the events / entertinment business and the many factors affecting it.
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. Hybrid working.
West London offices - with occasional work at the events/venues.
