Graduate Payroll assistant

Industry leading Hospitality and catering business located in Kearsley are seeking a graduate payroll assistant due to continued growth of the finance team.

As the graduate payroll assistant, you will report into the finance manager, and will assist with a variety of transactional finance responsibilities with a focus on payroll.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing of starters, leavers and change in terms onto the payroll system
• Calculate, input and check payroll adjustments
• Review summary pay reporting and reconcile monthly payroll
• Administration and payment of statutory leave, court orders, childcare vouchers and pension
• Resolution of payroll queries through pay reconciliation and liaising with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
• Support Practice Manager’s and department managers with pay related queries and procedures
• Resolution of payroll queries through pay reconciliation and liaising with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.

To be considered for this role:

• Degree educated at 1st class/2.1 level
• Good computer literacy skills including basic Excel skills and previous experience of payroll systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, able to deal with queries efficiently & courteously
