Becoming part of a specialist finance team member in a hybrid role that will include both core finance and FP&A responsibilities. The role to be varied from hands-on bookkeeping through to preparing management accounts, budgeting & forecasting, financial reporting, data analyses, and fundraising activities.
About the Role
The key responsibilities of the Financial Analyst include:
Finance responsibilities
- Day-to-day bookkeeping, expense recording, invoicing and payments.
- Monthly reporting
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Assisting the Head of Finance in providing analysis and commentary on month-end accounts to senior leadership
FP&A responsibilities
- Assisting the Head of Finance in preparing budgets and forecasts, cost analyses, etc.
- Supporting on fundraising efforts, including financial modelling, scenario planning, investor liaison, expansion planning.
- Maintaining reporting dashboards to assist the commercial, sales and marketing teams with their strategic decisions.
The ideal candidate
- An entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in early-stage startups.
- Part qualified/ Finalist ACA, ACCA or CIMA, is preferred
- A strong academic background ideally from a leading UK universite
- Excellent Excel skills and experience with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero).
