The role is for an experienced Accounts Payable team leader who is a strong self-starter comfortable quickly getting up to speed with the cash and payment demands of this successful IT business. This person will play a key management role within the Finance team, supporting and driving the processes and controls of in all payable areas. You will need Accounts Payable payments experience.
Key responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Team Leader include:
- Oversee the production of accurate suppler payment runs, responsible for the review and first approval.
- Statement Reconciliations to be carried out on a quarterly basis
- Weekly international currency payments
- Oversee and manage the processing of stock invoices monitoring volumes so workload can be managed, matching discrepancies and receipting of stock by the warehouse
- Stock Supplier setup process is adhered to and paperwork filed and understanding of key stock supplier’s payment terms and ensure understanding of ageing profile on bought ledger
- Liaise with production & buying teams to resolve stock issues
The ideal candidate:
- Ideally experience in a Supervisor role / or strong AP experience as a step up.
- 5 years of experience within an Accounts Payable environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to review processes and implement change.
- Good planning and organisational skills to balance and prioritise workload.
