Finance Assistant
International Service Provider based in Manchester City Centre require a Finance Assistant to join a newly formed team
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside a team, you will part of a tram that is responsible for ensuring that suppliers are paid accurately and in a timely manner
Key duties include:
- Processing supplier invoices and staff expenses
- Managing staff credit cards including monthly reconciliations
- Collating information for VAT returns
- Performing daily bank reconciliations and dealing with multi-currency payments
- Support management accountants with month end close processes
- Producing weekly payment runs, chasing approvals and effective monitoring of supplier payments to achieve cash and aged payable targets across our domestic, European and US markets
- To report to management on issues and inform them early of potential supplier problems
- Proactively seek to improve purchase ledger systems and process
- Maintenance of Supplier Master data
Ideally you will have the following experience to be considered for the role:
- Strong communication skills required to build and sustain relationships with our external customers, suppliers and internally across all divisions of the business
- Confident, tactful individual who is self-motivated and approachable
- Ability to work and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team as well as individually
- Willingness to learn and a strong desire to develop new skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
