Walters People have partnered with a leading business based in Rubery who are looking for an Trainee Finance Assistant on a permanent basis. The role would best suit a AAT studier or qualified candidate looking to pursue a professional qualification. You will enter data into databases, prepare financial statements, process invoices, and support other employees throughout any accounting processes
Key Responsibilities as the Trainee Finance Assistant:
• Preparation & Processing of Journals.
• Assisting with month end close.
• Assistance with Cash and Bank Reconciliations.
• Support the month end processes.
• Dealing with supplier queries.
• Processing staff expenses.
• Act as a point of contact for all Accounts Payable issues
• Daily Supplier invoice entry, with automatic invoice matching.
• Raise manual invoice or credit for rebate
• Chase payment and allocate
• Send monthly statements to customers through the relevant IT systems
• Raising Invoice/credit to customer through the system daily
• Work with sales team to sort out any debit notes or deductions from customer
• Dealing with customers closely to sort any query in case of late payment
About you as the Trainee Finance Assistant:
• Qualified or working towards AAT
• Data entry and analysis, to a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating a high level of initiative.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and respond to colleague and client queries in a timely manner.
• Proficient in the use of multiple IT software programmes.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong team player with a flexible can-do approach
• Analytical with great numerical skills
