Marketing & Business Development Manager - Leeds Position: Marketing & Business Development Manager Location: Leeds Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time Salary/Benefits: Up to £45,000

Role Details – Marketing & Business Development Manager

We are currently looking for a tenacious Marketing and Business Development Manager to join a renowned company on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for managing and further developing client relationships, understanding client needs and providing value to improve client loyalty to the company.

Responsibilities of the Marketing & Business Development Manager

-
Scoping the needs of clients, to identify opportunities that add value to the client's business above and beyond the service we provide
- Understanding who the company should know within the client organisation, plotting the relationship map to help understand how to broaden the relationship
- Building personal relationships with identified client contacts, attending relationship review meetings where appropriate
- Developing tailored solutions in response to client needs and in line with the investment profile of the client - with responsibility for interpreting solutions in response to client needs and resourcing/making these happen from within the business

Gather client feedback annually with identified clients. Attends those meetings, where appropriate. Ensures that client feedback (be that informal or formal) is documented, communicated and acted upon by the client service team
- Co-ordination and production of regular relationship review communications (bespoke to the needs of the client), in particular relationship review documents, demonstrating value-add
- Campaigns – supporting on specific sector campaigns ensuring that there is a client focus to these campaigns and that a BD cycle follows.
- Project support – supporting (or leading on elements) projects that drive forward revenue growth
- Sharing sector and client issues – stay on top of sector issues and be a conduit for sharing these within the sector and wider community.
- Panel reviews – works alongside the bids team to deliver a compelling response and ensure that our proposition matches the needs of the client.

Core skills/requirements for the Marketing and Business Development Manager:

- Strong networking / relationship building skills, internally and externally
- Proven experience in a similar role where client relationship management is key

Commercial acumen - understand investment vs revenue opportunities and getting the balance right through the planning process.

Facilitator – ability to facilitate client service team meetings to drive action and progress
- Completer/finisher – ensures client needs/promises are delivered
