People Operations Manager
People Operations Manager Permanent role Manchester City Centre £35k - 40k + benefits Our client, an established software provider based in Manchester city centre, is looking to recruit a People Operations Manager, to work directly with Head of Culture and will work together to help build out the People team.
As a People Operations Manager, you will play an integral part in the business. With a broad spectrum of HR experience, your main remit would be to manage HR functions. Leading by example, you will be responsible for the delivery of the HR services with the aim of setting a structure around the HR function for the business.
Duties of the People Operations Manager will include:
- Provide guidance on all aspects of the Human Resources function relating to recruitment and selection matters, employee relations and assisting in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Operate as an assistant or lead as directed by your manager in matters of employee relations issues including investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances and performance management of individuals.
- Advice on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotions and benefits.
- Support the HR processes, policies and procedures ensuring they are legally compliant.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle inclusive of recruitment, inductions, exit interviews, driving performance through trial period reviews and probationary period and personal achievement control.
- Liaise with the Employment Law Solicitor where necessary or appropriate.
Skills required of the Operations Manager will include:
- CIPD or equivalent generalist HR experience (minimum 2 years).
- You will be a dynamic and highly motivated individual with the ability to organise effectively and efficiently, alongside being able to cope with changing situations whilst always remaining calm and well organised.
- Knowledge of employment law and human resources responsibilities.
- Have a strong understanding of IR35 and other UK-specific legislation.
- Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders and employees across both internal and external organisations.
- Working knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
